Welcome to the CRY New Jersey Action center!
CRY stands for Children's Rights and You. This non-profit organization attempts to provide underprivileged children, regardless of race, religion, or social class with a chance to succeed and develop to their full potential. CRY America has a focus on the youth of India. Furthermore, they strive to provide health care, education, and protection to children around the world.
CRY New Jersey is a brand new action center that was started in July 2011, led by the fierce determination of leader, Nikita Bhatia, and her dream of a world where all children live and grow and can wonder "What's for dinner?" and not "Are we going to have dinner?” A place where they won't have to worry if they have clean water to drink, or a place to lay their head at night. Together with her core group of Michael Kumar, Miana Lew, and Sreela Kodoli, they plan on hosting a variety of events, which began with the Children's Walk for Rights on August 14.
They say "Knowledge is borrowed, but your experiences last forever." We, as children, have had experiences like performing at dance recitals, reading books, expressing ourselves, and even something as simple as going to school. We have had the ability to build our foundation, our base. But there are children out there who cannot. CRY NJ is an action center created by students, who better to fight for children's rights than children themselves?
