New Jersey

Welcome to the CRY New Jersey Action Center

10,000 innocent children die in India every single day. Half of India's children are not given the right to education. Two million babies in India die each year before the age of 1. We all have a duty to help these children in need.CRY New Jersey is the NJ Chapter of the nationwide child rights charity, CRY America. CRY stands for Child Rights and You and CRY America is a non-profit organization organization dedicated to supporting child rights in developing nations. Since its founding, CRY America has been able to change the lives of 280,000 children, providing them with their basic needs such as education and healthcare.

CRY New Jersey was founded in July 2011, by Nikita Bhatia, 14 at the time, and her dream of a world where all children are given their basic rights. CRY New Jersey is the first high school student-led action center for CRY America in the entire country. Since then, we have influenced high school student chapters across the country. Here at CRY New Jersey, we encourage student participation and support students, no matter what age, in their strive to support child rights. We believe there is no one better to support the rights of the child than children themselves.

CRY New Jersey's Vision and Mission
